PARAMETERS OF THE “GREEN” TRANSFORMATION OF THE RUSSIAN ECONOMY: A NEW DIMENSION

Abstract
The article is devoted to the current problem of regional development, which is the development of methodologic tools for assessing “green” transformation in the region's economy. The article considers the concept of “green economy indices” and its methodologic role. An analysis of existing Russian and foreign approaches to the assessment of the greening of economy is made and the use of a comprehensive approach for this research is argued. Criteria for assessing the degree of green economic transformation are identified. A methodological approach is proposed. It takes into account not only the objective indicators presented in the statistical reports of the Russian Federal State Statistics Service but also the attractiveness of subjective values of the local population. This makes it possible to assess the solution to environmental problems of the population in the region more adequately. The analyzed indicators of the green economy could be used in Russia for the development of methodological centers and systems of checking “green” projects in the regions to transform markets in the context of a transition to an environmentally friendly future.
