The article considers the significance of the activity of small business support structures in the modern Russian economy. The main attention is paid to the typology of support structures since the evaluation of the role of these structures is carried out according to their functional capabilities

The article describes findings of financial (accounting) statements of 26 Russian enterprises of various fields for a time interval of 2014–2015 and their comparison with data of 2009–2013. These enterprises are included in the list of the systemically important organizations that have stra-tegic importance. Values of coefficients of financial stability during the action of sanctions are established, a comparison of the corresponding values with standard ones is carried out. Branches whose coefficients values of financial stability changed the most and least during sanctions activity are revealed

Only large business has a financial and economic potential for such transition. It is capable to concentrate large resources, which are necessary for modernization of the Russian economy. The article presents the results of the research regarding the inclination of heads of farming enterprises for collaboration and cooperation as a condition for the successful development of agricultural consumer cooperatives in the current socio-economic and institutional environment. Attention is drawn to the following points: the creation of cooperatives occurs more often at the initiative of the State; the traditional model of an agricultural cooperative is incorporated into the economic practice; the tools of state support do not demonstrate the expected effectiveness of their application yet.

The paper pays attention to the peculiarities of managing intellectual resources. A structural model of intellectual capital for the agro-industrial complex of Kurgan Oblast is proposed. The model collects the positive aspects of existing approaches to managing intellectual capital. The comparative analysis of the ratio of profitable enterprises belonging to different size categories and types of economic activity in the total number of small and medium enterprises is presented. It is shown that there is no connection between the profitability of enterprises and their size

The territorial public self-government was founded more than 20 years ago. It is experiencing a crisis lately. Both representatives of the authorities and citizens consider the further existence of this institution to be inexpedient since it turned into an instrument of manipulation by certain political forces. Due to amendments made in 2014 to FL-131 “On General Principles of the Organization of Local Self-Government” aimed at the concentration of the municipal government in Russia, the role of the territorial public self-government is substantially changing. The article reveals the current trends in the territorial public self-government development, describes its main problems and outlines the possibilities for its development in the next few years
